I was raised by my parents not to brag where I came from.

An M3 is special because it uses a lot of bespoke parts on top of the base 3-series chassis. In the same way an Evo is special because it uses a lot of bespoke parts on top of the base Lancer chassis. But one is "premium" and one is not. Just like a 316i is "premium" and an Accord is not, despite being bigger, more luxurious and more powerful. And that's all down to intangibles. Which is all subjective.
