ouch!!!!range rover HSE wrecked beyond recognition

i pulled up to north beach to ride my bike and wax my truck when i saw this range rover HSE in the parking lot.

if you look at the roof..you can tell that they used the jaws of life to pry open it to get the driver out.

Looks like it flipped and rolled over and perhaps skidded on its left side before grinding to a halt. Is that chassis on a ladder type frame? Do I see some signs of separation from the chassis (on the left rear part)?

Supposedly safe cars are only safe when driven within speed limits with a prudent driver who is neither undistracted nor under the influence. Even at that, there are other factors: other drivers, weather, road imperfections, FOD(foreign object debris), animals and pedestrians.
