I'm planning to get a 2nd or even 3rd hand Range Rover 5 door as a project car. It won't be for daily driving, just a weekend car to have fun with. My model preferrence would be anywhere from 1987 to 89.
I'm not really asking where to buy but perhaps some of you (or your Dads) have some tips or experiences with 1980's Range Rovers.
Below is the 1987 5 door.

di matunog ang RR..more to enthusiast talaga unlike the common cars we see on the road: sub- and compacts..

November 12th, 2006 03:51 AM #7Definitely maganda yung RR na yan, 20,000 pogi points!...pero mostly V8's ang engine nila...be prepared sa high maintenance cost and fuel cost.
A friend of mine have a RR Discovery na lightly used lang, pero nung bumigay ang aircon, inabot ng almost P100,000 ang gastos kasi full eletronic. The bad side, hindi pa naging kasing ganda ang A/C nya like before.
So suggest ko, ay stay away from full-electronic na RR IF wala kang idea how to fix it either. Ang mahal kasi ng parts nito.
Yung RR na very early models are non-full electronic, so that could be an interesting option for you.

are you kidding? the range rover is one of the top luxury suvs
and it's also a "real" suv because it can go offroad, unlike most "soft-roaders" that we see today.
if by "matunog" you mean "may dating," i beg to differ... lalo na pag makintab pa ang paint. pogi!hehe plus why else would rappers always mention their range rovers in their lyrics if not for the bling factor
