Sana gawing Sticky thread ito. Will be posting the 50k PMS of my Carens soon...
Based on previous checkups (and speaking from personal experience), Kia Dagupan and Kia Pasong Tamo Ext had computer access to the ECU.. Yung sa Kia Pasong Tamo naman, I had to wait for 2 hours because the technician's (who was carrying the laptop with the diagnostic software) motorcycle encountered mechanical trouble..

Last edited by Starex_Gold; October 19th, 2011 at 10:09 PM.

Ride: Kia Carens CRDi 08 MT
Serviced at Kia Dagupan (Laus Group)
Duration: 2 hours (actually, 1.5 hours talaga- quite fast but not the kind of speed I expected)
Breakdown of costs:
Labor (for gen checkup, change oil & filter): 1,500
oil filter : 650
DIP Washer : 40
Brake Cleaner : 400
Penetrant : 200
W/N screen cleaner : 150
6 Liters semi synthetic oil : 2,130
misc : 300
Total: Php 5,370 (less 5%) = Php 5,102
Issues:
Hindi na nacheckup thoroughly ang EGR when I specifically asked it. Tinest drive na lang ng Kia mechanic dun with me in tow (ran the car at 4th gear *140 kph) and said there was nothing wrong with the EGR.
He told me that a constant emission of black smoke from the pipe is a sure sign of a dirty EGR. Mine had none. Again, he emphasized that the cause of low power of some units is the quality of diesel.
The PMS duration was unusually fast - 1.5 hours to be exact. I can wait a little longer provided a thorough check was really done
I forgot to ask what the misc fee of 300 was all about.
-------
Sorry napahaba itong post dahil in add ko na lang pic ng receipt for validation purposes because I cannot read or understand some items there (i.e. penetrant nga ba yon - at ano kaya ito?)
