Once the mighty Americans (Ford), now bleeding for cash with their pathetic currency (US Dollar) had to sell their Jaguar and Land Rover brands to India's Tata. The world is changing, the end of the US empire is nearing. The rise of the Eastern powers (China in particular) is here....

Last edited by kiper; March 27th, 2008 at 05:05 PM.

March 27th, 2008 05:01 PM #5baka magkaroon na rin ng 200K pesos na brand new jaguar! hehe
so since local na sa india ang jag at land rover, gagawin din kaya itong taxi dun? hehe
in fairness to TATA, as far as i know, it is a credible truck manufacturer. so who knows, most industry analysts say it's a win-win solution for all. Ford gets to get rid of a money losing business, Tata gets to be known worldwide, and Jaguar and Land Rover will receive a much needed capital infusion.

March 27th, 2008 07:29 PM #9What Tata should do is start producing jaguars from now on and sell them cheap like chapatee
with their billion population. In that way it will help save the company marque which has been a disaster in the past and at the same time alleviate the million of indians from poverty. Now, u can get a variety of jaguar cars in curry flavor, masala flavour and so on and so forth.
Never thought 2 brilliant english marquees will end up in the hands of their former tea boy, pathetic brits.
