July 14th, 2003 11:01 PM #2I'm not sure if it's your glow plugs/ heater plugs or your injection pump. If lagi hard start pag half tank, check mo rin fuel lines and fuel pick up, yung sa loob ng tank.

baka meron leak ang fuel line mo. tomorrow morning, before starting your engine, try to pump the fuel pump first. start your engine. kapag hindi na nahirapan, baka nga meron leak somewhere. check first the O-ring on the fuel filter, usually over tightening will break this.

IMO, the solution(s) to your problem depends upon the engine model in the Trooper. Do you have the 3.0L, or 3.1L, or 3.2L turbo-diesel? For example, the 3.0L, 4JX1-TC engine has peculiar problem of hard-starting, the solutions of which are totally different from the other models. Please specify.

July 15th, 2003 06:45 AM #6zitro,
Did you have any work/ service done on the engine before the problem started or has it always been this way?
How many kms does it have? Did the water separator warning light ever light up?

July 15th, 2003 10:16 PM #9hope i could help but considering your engine is the 4jx1 model, i concede. i wouldn't want to make too much assumptions on something that i shouldn't talk about: Common Rail Technology of BOSCH/ZEXEL.
if it were mechanical, it's easier. if it were EFI, CRT models of DENSO, that's our territory.
BEST, you bring it to INTECO. just be prepared for the costs.

hanson

July 16th, 2003 02:02 AM #10What oil did you use on the trooper- 10w30? Did you see the actual oil used? Hope it wasn't serviced by Inteco!
Check your fuel filter- esp the drain plug underneath, has to be screwed tight. This fuel filter takes a long time to bleed properly (about 5-10 min). Any air leaks could cause your problem.
