November 9th, 2016 08:52 PM #1I'm due for my next change oil for my Dmax and the warranty expired last month. My plan is to have the change oil outside the casa to save on expenses. Please furnish any answers on the following:
a. Brand of oil (I've heard that fully syntetic oil can be up to 10000kms, is it true?
b. brand of fuel filter and oil filter (is it advisable to still buy isuzu branded filters?)
c. brand of air filter?
d. reputable shop for change oil within QC area
e. any other points that I might have overlooked or need to know
Maraming salamat po

November 10th, 2016 12:29 AM #4i have mine done at the friendly neighborhood gas station. they have a promo. last time, it cost me almost 2000 bucks, hecho derecho. mineral oil only and oil filter change (whatever they have; zic nga yata), every 5000 km.
yung air filter, pinapabugahan ko ng compressed air. basta hindi pa basa ng langis, at mukha pang disente, ok pa sakin yon. i know i know. bad practice and all that. kayo na po bahala kung anong air filter ang gusto nyo.

That's actually a good practice with the air filter ... as long as it's not torn and broken just spray with compressed air ...

accdg sa thread regarding filters e hindi...hanggang 3k or 5k tops lang ang bosch.....yung bosch na made in vietnam/malaysia ay cheaper than the vic equivalent.
switch to OE heavy duty filters gaya ng baldwin, fleetguard, donaldson, ............
reagrding air filter, oem specs is still the best for me (my truck)....balance between power and engine lifespan.
