September 6th, 2011 05:47 PM #221hindi naman kasama sa computation sa pagkuha ng FC ang price ng gatong mo bro....pag nakuha mo na kung nakaka ilang kilometro ka sa isang litro, dun mo malalaman kung ilang piso natipid mo,compare sa diesel to gasoline...dito sa atin sa pinas,di pwedeng magmahal ang price ng diesel sa gasoline, dahil sa napakaraming factor...di tulad uerope na mas mahal ang diesel...kaya napakalaki ng advantage nating nasa sa pilipinas...doble ang tipid mo...price and consumption if you have a diesel cars...eto yung pinaka simpleng pagkuha ng FC bro...
Divide the distance by the litres used to get the km/litre
so from the start, full tank automatic mo tangke mo,then, izero mo yung trip meter...tapos takbo mo yung sasakyan ng malayo, mga 200kms...then,pakarga ka uli ng fuel...full tank,automatic....tapos idivide mo lang yung nag register sa trip meter mo dun sa kung ilang litro uli yung pinakarga mong fuel...yun na yun, malalaman mo na kung how many kms per liters ang FC mo...hope it helps...

September 10th, 2011 03:42 AM #222nagpa full tank ako wednesday last week. ang route ko is antipolo to eastwood. marcos highway ang daan ko. i work sa call center so normally exempted ako sa traffic except sa friday merong kunting bottle neck papasok sa eastwood. disappointed lang ako kasi inaalalayan ko na nga yung takbo ko. between 60-80 lang tapos rpm is 2500 lang. yung gauge ko halos between middle and empty na. almost 400 kms pa lang tinatakbo ko. 43.8 liters ang naipakarga ko. kung ganito ang trend, baka pumatak lang ng more or less 10 km/l tinatakbo ng van ko sportivo 2007 m/t. tama lang ba itong tinatakbo or meron ba ako dpat ipacheck or gawin sa auto ko para gumanda fc ko. help naman jan mga bro lalo na mga katulad ko naka sportivo din. thanks

I agree, as for me, I get an FC on my Mitsu Adventure 15km/l, long distance driving from Mariveles Bataan to Manila. I drove at an average of 60km/hr up to max. of 110km/hr. I do also average overtakes. In other words, this is my normal driving style.
Then, nung pabalik naman ako, Manila to Bataan, I tried a different driving approach, I run 60km/hr to max of 130km/hr, I do lots of overtakes from NLEX and even on the two way roads all the way to Mariveles. This is not my normal driving style, I just want to push my advie for a test, I got a 11km/l.
As for Manila city driving, hindi ko pa nakukuhaan ng FC test ito, i'll make the test one of these days.
Frankly speaking, I was surprised by the FC conversations on this thread, I thought matakaw na ang Advie ko sa diesel... In actual, malayo sa katotohanan... I think, yung driving style nila sa test na yan going 60km/hr to max of 80km/hr lang cguro. I believe that this is the optimum and most efficient speed the cars has to offer. If we drive go beyond those 80km/hr, the FC goes higher than their datas.

February 23rd, 2012 11:00 PM #228I got mine last 2010 and the initial consumption is 9 km/l. after 2 years it is now at 12 km/li. We travel from laguna to baguio and vice versa frequently and fill my tank to the brim. reset the odo and refill again up to the brim. there are lots of factors that can affect consumption.
1. Driving attitude (the more frequent you step on brakes requires more acceleration)
2. Speed (80-90 km/hr is the most efficient)
3. Tire pressure
4. Load
5. etc...

...and to attest further to this, had a road trip from Q.C. to Laoag City last 20-24 of April.
Herewith are the data collected;
Date.........Time.......Trip....Liters...Km/Li..Refueled / Remarks
2012.04.20 01:11:47 169.1 19.37 . 8.7 . . Petron Q.C. / Typical City Drive
2012.04.20 06:45:36 260.6 19.937 13.0 . Petron SFdo La Union / LOWww RPM Highway Drive
2012.04.24 08:41:20 286.1 28.34 . 10.1 . Petron Ilocos Norte / HI RPM, 3T&above, overtaking Drive
2012.04.24 13:45:50 219.2 18.592 11.8 . Petron SFdo La Union / Med RPM overtaking Drive
2012.04.24 21:18:00 289.2 26.80 . 10.8 . Petron Q.C. / (Mad)Max RPM, 100+KPH bastusan overtaking Drive
from this round trip drive of varying Driving attitudes/style/norms, i have also incurred varying FC results.
The trip from QC to San Fernando LU was smooth light traffic travel. Driving like my Grandmuther.
The SFdo to Laoag segment was riddled with daytime HiWay traffic of Trycs, Trucks plus the ongoing Road constructions at ALMOST every town. Aggravated by some Town Fiestas & Funeral processions. Pulling down the FC to 10.1
Ilocos to La Union was same as above, minus the Fiestas & Processions
and lastly the La Union to QC was a Hi Speed, Max RPM drive especially on the 4 lane portions of Tarlac, SCTEX & NLEX. oh & a dinner stop over at Caltex San Fernando Pampanga for about an hour.
Lesson: night trip travelling, as always, is most comfortable & more economic. agree? :cheers2:
