Sir,
my concern was is the high probability of maintenance cost in terms of sensors and electronic parts hence it may affect also the usability of the pick up. i currently have '97 highlander and no doubt it is reliable but when i ask service tech of isuzu they told me that it's quite high on the maintenance specially for CRDi since electronics rule them. hope you could help me decide. the call is between '07 Dmax LT or 03 Fuego

wala ka pa naman i maintain sa electronics sir for the next 5 years or so sa ridde mo kung sundin mo lang ang maintenance... yup mahal nga ang parts ng CRdi kc electronics na mga eto but the LT dmax has the 4JA1 engine also NOT a CRdi engine but its been upgraded lang naman to a turbo engine and euro 2 comliant... HINDI CRDi ang dmax LT... so wala po kayo pagalalahanin sa CRDi na engine...

December 13th, 2007 05:54 PM #3374so mas ok talaga ang dmax LT kumpara sa fuego (both are non crdi).?

yup both are non crdi... symepre sir mas ook kc brand new ang dmax and newer model compare sa fuego... lamang po talaga ang dmax.. unless both are brand new or both are second hands... sa dmax meron ka waranty na 3 years... ikaw ang first user, newer model, wala masyado maintenance and worries mag break down while your on the road... kung meron man mga sira ang dmax at least you have the waranty to cover for it... you got to batter the car for yourself than buying a second hand fuego that is already used... maybe sakit pa sa ulo maidulot nyan...

December 16th, 2007 11:30 AM #3376Hello Guys,
I am planning to buy a new pick-up and I am hoping to get some of your valuable opinions based on your insights.
I have been to the showrooms of Ford, Mitsu, Isuzu and Nissan. Finally, it's between Isuzu-Dmax CRDI and Nissan Navara that i have to choose from.
I know thre'll be biased answers, I am just wondering if some proud owners of Dmas would also consider choosing Navara over Dmax if given the chance ? and why?
Thanks.

In my case, yes. I'd like to get my hands on that 6 speed tranny that promises to transmit over 400Nm of torque. Got to examine one up close from our local dealer here but the interior was a bit of a let down. I didn't like the cheap plastics, especially the dash. The rear seats are cramped like it was just an afterthought in the design.
Exterior wise it looks very robust but I still dread its tail gate design because it will make it look dated by 2008. I'm really puzzled why Nissan loves that V-shaped plastic bearing their chrome emblem not to mention the over-sized gate handle. It will look good in the black variants but it will be hard to ignore on the rest.

yeah tama ka nga memps,, iv seen one narin sa manila auto show... ang ganda nga kc its the 1st in the class na meron 6th gear... hehehe... but crdi na ba ang engine??? and yup didnt like the rear seat nga kc it was crampd.. hindi ata na resolve ng nissan ang prob na yan eversince yun eagle or pathfinder series ganun na... hard to get in and out... specially sa matangkad na guys like me.. hehehe.... but the looks are great... pick up talaga ang dating.... macho and robust.... havent really thoroughly checked sa car show kc naka lagay sa stage and wala makalapit... and maganda rin kc mataas na ang stance nya

I was able to sit in the driver's seat and kasya naman ang 6'2" frame ko hehehe but then I had to push the seat nearly all the back to clear my knees a bit from the wheel. But then that's just me.
The local dealer here offered a test-drive when he saw me pull-up in my D-max
