Anyway, should they (dealer) require you to leave your car to be inspected (or sent to the plan), they are suppose to accomplish a checklist of the whole vehicle that you would need to sign after. Just make sure that you agree with what they note in the said checklist vis-a-vis actual state of your unit so that you can verify when they return it.

If they said so that if found defective (windshield) and they would replace it, then so be it. They will not decide naman to replace it if it would not pose as a hazard to your safety.
