March 16th, 2008 05:12 PM #2i don't think the new d-max is faster than the previous model, even with CRDI engine still it is sluggish in highway drive, trouble with ISUZU once it reaches the speed of 120 kph the engine suffer and struggle to go up. im sorry but for a 3.0 liter turbo that is just pathetic.

pick-ups are not meant for speed. but for pulling power and torque they provide. they are meant as a workhorses. dmax have a closed-range ratio for better hauling power. you can also run the dmax from a standstill using the 4th gear..
