April 21st, 2009 10:06 PM #1Kung nagbasa lang sana ako sa isuzu fuel consumpution thread we would've opted to buy isuzu x-wind
napansin ko lang kung bakit hindi naghahari ang isuzu sa market shares ng mga auto ngayon, (btw we bought innova 2009).
nagbasa ako sa FC thread ng isuzu and i was amazed by the results

Well, not everybody needs an AUV/SUV/Pickup. Some people need smaller cars, others are limited by budget constraints. Others simply prefer having sedans and compacts. Fact is, Isuzu's (Philippines, that is.) lineup is currently limited to diesel trucks and AUVs.
Fuel efficiency isn't always on top of the priorities for buyers. Often, passenger comfort and practicality take the top spot. Still, others need luxury, style, or performance. And often there's a trade-off with power to get such FC figures.
On the Pick-up/SUV market, the DMAX and the Alterra has some serious competition in the form of the Frontier Navara, Ranger/Everest, Hilux/Fortuner, and lately the Strada/Montero sport. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Regarding the Crosswind, it is utterly dated in terms of refinement and comfort compared to the innova, fuzion, grand livina, and carens MPVs.Last edited by scharnhorst; April 21st, 2009 at 10:50 PM.

No problem, bro. Don't fret about your car. May innova rin erpats ko. 3 years daily drive qc to calamba. naunahan pa nung 100,000 km yung 3 years warranty.
So far so good, wala namang problema (except nung yung aircon bumigay, buti covered ng warranty. parati kasing nagyoyosi - nakaon ang aircon habang bukas ang bintana). Na resolve na rin ata yung issue nung D4D sa mga subsequent na labas ng innova kaya mas okay na rin sya.

It's not the engine, it's the automatic transmission.
Innova D4D MTs can get fuel economy similar to the Crosswind. And even with the supposedly "matipid" engine of the Crosswind, when we took an automatic variant to Baguio, our fuel economy was pretty similar to the diesel-guzzling CRDi Starex we brought the other time.
Just view the relatively poor consumption as what you're paying for the convenience of an automatic. ;)
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
