November 25th, 2014 02:31 PM #1Hi Tsikoters,
Any idea what could be the problem why AC Compressor does not engage. A quick google said that prossibly its due to freon under pressure or relay busted, but any one here have actual experienced on your Isuzu Highlander or similar, so it can help for DIY check before going to expert paid AC tech?
Thanks in advance.

Car AC systems are similar across most brands.
Check the pressure switch plug on top of the dryer and the plug on the compressor itself. Minsan it's something as simple as a loose connection.
Kung ok naman no choice but to go to the shop to have it pressure checked. The compressor won't engage if the pressure switch detects that the system pressure is above or below a certain level.

November 25th, 2014 07:19 PM #4most AC shops have FREE Check-up ... go na
if you want a quick check whether yuor AC still have freon ... while the engine is off, press momentarily any of the freon valve pins, if freon leaks, then you have freon, and most likely pressure switch is the culprit

Really thanks for all the reply, I found the culprit, the fuse intended for the cooler busted, I dunno though why it was busted, but should not be a short, because I already used it whole day and still ok, so probably a spike of current and thanks for the fuse, it save what it should save. Now, its ok.
