Check the leather for wetness. That is usually the cause for "amag". To solve it, make sure the rubber seals do not let water through the windows or doors.

Humidity..that is the source of most amag cases on almost all types leather. Any genuine leather material must be maintained and should be kept in a well ventilated but controlled environment. It needs oxygen, moisturizing and cleaning too once in a while. Use leather cleaner and conditioner, I usually buy Eagle One at Ace HArdware for all my leather materials, car and home, including my old hiking boot.

Problema ko rin yan ngayon sa 97 Accord ko, although leatherette seats lang. 1 week ko kasi hindi ginamit, so when I finally found the time to use it, aba, sangkatutak na amag (sidings, seats, dash and even the seatbelts).

Bad trip, nagka-brown stains na, parang may mapa tuloy sa leatherette seats. I tried using Joy, Wipe-Out and brushing those stains away, mukhang kumapit na talaga. Ayaw maalis.

With all due respect to those who use cleaners like MC or other non-leather cleaning materials, do not use it on genuine leather materials as it may cause cracking, drying, premature wear.. MC is good for some plastics and some metal but a no-no for leather. Some cleaning materials may contain high level of detergents, acids, petroleum and other harmful ingredients that will lead to permanent damage. To be safe, use appropriate leather cleaner and conditioner.

happened to our starex during the typhoon months this year ... the smell was terrible!

spray and wipe lysol general puprose cleaner a few times ...
spayed vinegar solution a few times ...
sunbath with all doors/windows open a few times, sometimes with A/C at full blast, other times the heater at full blast ...
spayed new car scent ... repeat sunbath

it took me a month to clean it! now it is again sitting in the garage, this time with activated charcoal and baking soda in a pan
