I hope this administration doesn’t come up with a crazy stupid idea of banning Diesel engines in the after 5 years or so.

January 21st, 2021 12:10 PM #7Wag naman. Madami pa ding Euro 2 engines na in good running condition and non smoke belchers. I-target sana nila yung road worthiness nung sasakyan. Sa mga first world country nga mas preferred pa nila yung mga old cars from Japan. Like, sa New Zealand. Preferred nila yun.

Even NZ is considering phasing out diesels.
IMO, hindi lang naman yung black smoke... may mga bagay na di natin nakikita which is also harmful to health
Realistically speaking (growing up with PUVs)
May mga sasakyan kami dating Euro-2 and above... Pero to meet the "foreign requirements," ang daming electronics+turbo nung engine.
Removing everything (bare engine mode) will mean a drastic loss of power and more emissions... pero easier to maintain
