November 14th, 2007 01:01 AM #2622[quote=nels76;954293]Guys, can u recommend shops other than the Casa to fix this minor scratch sa SF ko. See pix below.
Nabinyagan kahapon sa may DOST. Bumper to bumper ang traffic then singit dito singit doon ang mga motorcycles. Di ko napansin na nagasgasan ako.
Kung tumunog man to nang nasagi, di ko napansin kasi maingay sa construction site - which is the road beside DOST, Bicutan.
Closer view
tsk tsk tsk. yan din ang iniiwasan ko sa daan. mhilig kasi silang sumingit kahit alanganin na.
Sir, medyo maliit lang yan. Try mo muna paint touch up. may nabibili nito sa Concorde megamall or greenhills. may varieties sila ng paint color.

One month ago before i reserve a unit, i also think of getting a 4wd version,i usually travel on weekends to the province with 10% rough road at pag rainy season maputik, i had a 1999 4x4 pajero 2.8 fieldmaster and a 2003 3.2 frontier 4wd but never used its function even in worst condition.I decided to settle for crdi 2wd and my extra 100k goes to accessories.I love the engine,i love my SF, the best diesel powered i've got so far.....

Salamat sir sa input. Will consider that as well.
nagpa-quote ako sa Hyundai Balintawak. Aabotin daw ng 15k. Grabe naman.
Though di ko naman dinala don ung unit ko for assessment. i just sent the picture above to them.
Puwede pa daw mabawasan ung price if makikita nila ung gasgas mismo.

A 4WD displayed at Hyundai Global has a Dual Climate / Zone Aircon Control.
I just don't know kung Gas or CRDI Version to.
I think ung Gas Version has no 4WD Variant so most likely it is a CRDI.
Pero I Could be wrong though. Let the other SF confirm that.
The Dual Zone Aircon lets you assign a different temperature setting sa rear cabin. Medyo iba ang Aircon controls nito. may LCD Display under the HU showing the temperature setting.

November 14th, 2007 11:42 AM #2626hello
I'm an avid reader of this thread, to be honest this thread helped me in deciding in getting a SF. I'll be getting a superior red SF from Hyundai Alabang this Friday or Sat, just wanted to know what should I be getting?
Warranty Booklets, how many?
Alarm?
How Many Keys?
also, what else should I be checking?
Thanks and more power to this thread.

Please share yopur inputs:
1. Does V6 version have the same acceleration&kick considering the low end torque & 5 speed advantage of the CRDI variant ?
Although I own a V6, I also test drove the CRDI and found that because of the higher torque and 5 speed of the CRDI it has more kick compared to the V6.
2. What do u think are the advantages of the V6 Gas version versus the CRDI diesel variant if any?
One of the advantages of the V6 Gas over the CRDI is the maintenance cost. The gas engines are easier and cheaper to maintain then diesel engines. This is the reason I got the V6 instead of the CRDI, second reason is the climate control.
2. If you were in my shoes, which of the four options would you choose?
When I was purchasing my SF I really wanted the Superior Red V6 but at that time they only has the Superior Red in the CRDI variant, so I decided to get the second choice which was the Titatinium Blue.
It really depends on your priorities. If your priority is Color and CRDI then choose option 3 (at least you can upgrade your HU, which is also what I did and the family is loving it). If your priority is 4x4 and Color then go with option 2. But if your priority is 4x4 and CRDI then you have to go with option 1.
In the end it really depends on what you want, but whatever option you choose I'm sure you won't regret it because whatever variant the SF is still the best.

November 14th, 2007 11:41 PM #2629a. Why would you want a 4x4? If you are thinking about offroading, the SF is not designed for that. Only minor rough roads lang according to the manual. Now, if you are going to travel on winding roads at high speed then may advantage ang 4x4. But then, I already travelled to Baguio and Bicol with sharp zigzag roads at medium speed okay naman handling 4x2 SF ko.
b. gas vs. diesel? Comparing to the non-crdi diesel engine, the crdi engine is lesser to maintain dahil hinde mausok so hinde masyado madumi. The CRDI engine is also quite and I believe the SF is EURO-2 compliant already. Maybe you heard about the diesel injection pump calibration which is expensive. I had a starex for 7 years with around 120th kms but never had the calibration. Basta you have to follow the PMS on change oil which is 5000 kms using mineral oil.
So for me I would still go for diesel dahil advanced diesel engine technology na gamit ng SF not to mention the lower cost of diesel fuel.
Per panel ang presyo ng painting. If i remember it right nasa 3000 pesos per panel (almost the same casa o sa labas). Looking at your damage, one panel lang and tingin ko dapat di tataas ng 5000 yan (incl other charges like electrical, dent repair kung malalim). Maselan ang superior red, casa mo na lang ipagawa.
C190: kelan mo gusto kunin front mud guard? I live in QC and work in Ortigas.
