September 13th, 2012 02:34 PM #971+1 for this idea.. Problem is price varies depends on car and PMS sked (1km/5km/10km etc) (Like yung 1k pms mo its supposed to be the cheapest since free labor) Depends kung ano-ano ang dinadagdag nila without asking you first.
so maganda nga sana malaman which dealer is the more "honest" ones na will only replace what is needed at a fair price (although i have a cynical feeling na pare-pareho lang silang mag tatake advantage if napansin nilang di matanong or newbie ang customer, or feeling nilang mayaman naman)

September 13th, 2012 05:29 PM #972Ive inquired in 3 different Casas for my 10k PMS... i got 3 varying quotes.. its confusing kasi dun sa Casa#2 cheaper oil nila pero mas mataas yung quote.. kailangan talaga makakuha ng itemized breakdown para no surprises..
having said that, i just discovered sa website ng Hyundai meron silang feature to give you an idea on what will be done sa PMS depending on your model and mileage... Hyundai Philippines PMS
so in my case .. New Accent 10k PMS eto ang nilabas nya...

September 14th, 2012 07:31 PM #973Sa 10K km PMS mo ang mandatory lang na palitan jan is the OIL, OIL FILTER, yung Air Filter and Cabin/Aircon Filter better talaga na palitan narin since mura lang naman yan , all the rest check nalang pero di pa dapat me masira sa 10K km mileage. Yung spark plug can still go beyond 20K kahit pa ordinary type lang (platinum tip not iridium). Kung ako mag co costing nyan oil mo would be 350/li FS, Oil Filter is 300, Air Filter is 300, aircon Filter is 150, labor is 500

September 15th, 2012 11:12 AM #974Thanks for the info Iceman. Mura nga ang costing mo. You've got PM
Heres the quote I got from Hyundai North Edsa. DISCOUNTED na ito for Cash payment and Promos nila.
labor 1300
oil 2170
oil filter 350
air filter 640
pollen filter 1200
spark plugs 1600
brake cleaner 2 bottles 550
oil system cleaner- (optional) 600
fuel system cleaner 600
windshield shampoo - (optional) 200
drain plug washer 50
misc fee 250
total - 9,500
Yung Aircon filter ba is same as Pollen filter? P 150 vs P 1200.. grabe laki difference... Sabi nung kausap ko is per HARI Memo daw e required na daw Pollen Filter for 10k PMS. Dati daw 20K PMS lang ito papalitan pero now 10K na lang daw. Also required daw Spark Plug replacement?
If these and the others are really not necessary (Brake cleaner for 550? Shampoo for 200?? oil and fuel system cleaners??) then ok lang to tell them DONT do those and i want OIL and FILTERS lang. Mas gaganda ba ang hatak or performance if you get all those things they "recommend" or pareho lang? Sigh, hirap talaga makahanap ng casa who will be honest enough to tell you the truth bec of course they want to earn more by having more services done...
Tapos di kaya nila sasabihin in the future if you make warranty claims di mo kasi ginawa mga ito kaya may nasira?
Sorry for all these questions.. ang laki kasi price difference.. 9,000 (originally 12,000 pa nga w/o discounts) vs lower PMS cost as given by iceman... just want to know if ano ba talaga ang dapat..
