June 23rd, 2008 12:43 PM #22anu po nakikita nyo na problem sa hyundai accent???hindi po ba reliable??diba 5 yrs warranty pag private then 3 yrs pag public use??yung 30++km/L nabasa ko sa mga personal reviews sa ibang countries e...since iba road conditions dun and iba rin ang traffic dun..pero sa tingin ko mga 15km/L +++ siguro consumption nun pag city driving...yun nga lang pag taxi driver na ang gumamit iba na usapan dun.....

15 km/l is the most realistic for traffic... the only points of worry in terms of durability for the Accent are the electric power steering and the shock absorbers. Shock absorbers, no biggie, since this is a problem that many Japanese compacts (including the previous Altis) have... EPS... unknown... but it's a stronger motor with more drain on it than others in the engine bay, and engine bay heat has a tendency to degrade electric motor performance over time (which is why Mitsubishi and Ford Lynx IACVs give out after a few years)... but at least the car will still be driveable (and liveable, actually) without EPS.
But most subcompacts nowadays have EPS, anyway (Getz, Jazz, Yaris, City, Vios, etcetera...), so it's no different from anything else.
