Hyundai’s new flagship sedan is its most sophisticated car to date and a worthy contender to the luxury car establishment...

It's actually not a Camry or Accord-class vehicle. It's a size or two larger and is targetted straight at luxury car buyers who would otherwise buy an Audi A6, BMW 5-series, Lexus GS or Mercedes Benz E-Class.

It's a full-featured rear-wheel drive luxury sedan... priced the same as compact luxury sedans.

I want the V8. Hyundai also hinted at a supercharged V8. I want that too.

Hahaha... Hyundai fan-boy in the house! You know, it's a pretty good car. The handling isn't quite up there with the best, but it's still great for a Hyundai... and as a highway warrior, absolutely no complaints... great V6.

I just wonder how bad the mileage will be on these big engines... The projected driving range from the on-board computer was ungodly pessimistic... or was it reading low because of the way we were driving it?

The gas mileage of the V8 is 17/25mpg (city/hwy) with a combined gas mileage of 22.1mpg. The gas mileage of the V6 is bound to be better.

Also, I can't remember where I saw it. But, one of the US car magazines pegged 0-60mph of the 290hp V6 at 6.3 sec.

i saw this thing about a week ago while looking for a used tiburon. it is huge. i like the exterior except the grille. for me, it didnt fit or an emblem somewhere may work better. i sat in and checked out the interior as well. the interior is well designed, better than the azera. great car overall, but im curious if it sells esp nearly $40K price tag for a v6.
