Siguro if nahanapan nila ng paraan to move at least higher yung tailight, cgro mababawasan kunti yung ugliness ng rear.
maybe they wanted to give an illusion of a lower beltline or assumed the rear would look too van like with a higher taillight placement?

Honest question: is this iteration of the Santa Fe THAT good that it can potentially disrupt sales of the PPV SUV's (Everest, Fortuner, Montero Sport, Mu-X, Terra)?

2.5 Gas engine is an interesting choice

I guess it competes with the CX-60 and CRV, but those can be had as hybrids

I think it will come down to styling and price.

    No.

    Reason: Gas Engine

Pinoys still love their Diesel engined SUV/PPV.
if they had a diesel engined model maybe.

Plus the rear is Literally Butt Ugly.
look what happened to the current Montero sport when it first came out.
it wasnt until they were giving big discounts and updated the rear that sales would pick up thou still not enough to compete head to head with the fortuner.
