October 20th, 2022 12:45 PM #23Not a fan of the looks. They grafted the Staria front-end onto a regular 7-set MPV.
Unlike the Staria which looks futuristic all the way around the Stargazer is absolutely pedestrian from the side and rear, and which clashes with the futuristic style of the front.

December 13th, 2022 09:46 AM #25i just saw it in the metal, on exhibition in the mall, for the sticky-fingers potential costumers.
it looks and feels good, and is a smidgen smaller than the 1st gen innova.
i am wondering, how's the engine, suspension, and the other hard stuff?
and important for me, "how's the longevity prediction?".Last edited by dr. d; December 13th, 2022 at 09:55 AM.

December 13th, 2022 11:53 AM #26If ako tatanungin doc, my experience is from their old diesel cars (2009 model).
Dami namang parts mabilhin when its time to fix (last 2018), partly due to some cars nila ay shared ng parts with its KIA siblings.
Yun AC lang doc, after 5-7 yrs lalabas major problem (Compressor defect).
But if alam mo saan i source outside CASA, this should be no problem (probably 10-15k damage if bought outside).
Since compressor defect na, better to replace din other parts ng AC system kahit dipa sira para ma sulit yung labor.
To add pala, their suspension is good naman and comfortable to drive. But some owners reported shocks failure after 2 yrs of use. Ganiton din naman issue sa ibang brand like the current Innova so I think depende na talaga sa dinadaanan mo to.
If 5 yrs yung warranty, this should not be an issue since covered naman to.
But that's the feedback from other Hyundai owners na bumigay daw suspension after 2 yrs.

December 13th, 2022 12:19 PM #27salamat po.
i am wondering,
would that 5 year warranty require pms every proverbial 3 months!? heh heh.
i am reminded of yesteryears,
my kia besta's compressor conked out, out of warranty.
bringing it to the independent shop, i was informed, "replace compressor po. hindi 'yan na-a-ayos."
fast forward some years later,
i happened to make small talk with a former kia casa mechanic, while having my now-toyota car serviced in banawe.
i mentioned my previous kia compressor experience.
"hah? eh, ang dami naming compressor rebuild kits sa casa..."

December 13th, 2022 12:51 PM #28Siguro meron sa CASA rebuild kit, dami ko ng pinuntahan 3rd party AC system shop. Hindi daw kaya nila.
Itim na oil na kasi binuga ng compressor instead of hangin.
Kaya yung oil na yun yung cause ng pagbara sa hose system niya.
As for the 5 yrs warranty, it's not anymore 3 months doc.
You may check on this article on their revised PMS schemes.
https://www.carguidedotph/2022/08/ev...be-owners.html
Just replace dot to .
What’s the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) like?
They are instituting a revised PMS schedule which should prove to be beneficial for low-mileage drivers. For gasoline-fed vehicles, it is now every 7,500 kilometers or every 6 months (whichever comes first), while for diesel-fed vehicles, it is every 5,000 kilometers or every 6 months (whichever comes first). This means that Hyundai now joins the club of car brands that only require twice-a-year PMS (if you are a low mileage user) such as Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru.

We replaced the AC components of our 2009 Santa Fe Dec. 2021 (Compressor & Evaporator). Sulit na rin 12 years bago napalitan. Ngayon balik ulit sa sobrang lamig.
I replaced our 2009 Sorento (mechanical twin ng Santa Fe and 1998-2005 Starex) Compressor, Evaporator & Condenser. 13 years din bago pinalitan.
