if the entry level will be at 2M definitely it won't sell. you do not even see newly bought short wheel based 1.8M santa fe anymore, and not even 1 of the 2.5M long wheel base grand santa fe. they have priced themselves out of the market.

November 2nd, 2017 02:29 AM #7Hyundai seems to be having delusions of grandeur. With their strong presence in Europe, they think their cars are now European too. Grand Starex, Grand Santa Fe, ultimo pati i10 Grand i10 na rin. The competitive pricing and product planning that drove them to top 3 in sales is now completely replaced with rubbish. Shame. Ganda pa naman cars nila.

November 2nd, 2017 02:29 PM #9Pricing versus level of equipment. As mentioned, they are pricing themselves out of the market. Nowadays their only edge seems to be their excellent diesel engines, but after a decade or so of using the exact same engines, the competition is catching up even in that department.
With the base model automatic Santa Fe priced at 1.7M+, it is no shock that it is collecting dust as compared to Montero's, Fortuner's, Everest's and even MUX's and Trailblazer's even though it is supposedly a superior product.
