January 22nd, 2016 03:29 PM #3081You might want to recheck your warranty coverage. Mine was delivered June 2011 and is among the first batch of units when they released elantras in the PH. Hyundai has 5-yr warranty, so I'm expecting most of the MD Elantras on the road today would still fall within the warranty period.

January 23rd, 2016 02:04 PM #3085GS went on limp mode several months after it turned 3. Sent it into the CASA for warranty. Tutal, 5 years naman dapat.
Was informed that the warranty dept from HARI deemed that the faulty part would have been considered within the 3 year warranty but not the 3+2. Don't remember what the part is since it was 2 yrs ago, but it was related to the fuel pump or something.
Paid upward of 20k to get it fixed.
End of story.Last edited by mda; January 23rd, 2016 at 02:09 PM.

January 25th, 2016 10:29 AM #3086I also got mine Dec. 2011. but AFAIK the 5 years warranty goes like 3 + 2; the latter 2 years only covers the powertrain ( engine, transmission, drive shafts, differentials, and the final drive).
Please update this if you've got coverage aside from the powertrain past your 3yrs. warranty.
Thanks!

January 25th, 2016 08:26 PM #3087Had mine repaired last weekend. Steering coupling daw ang tawag sa part na pinalitan. Job was done under warranty. Very cheap nga lang yung part at P56.85. Sinabay ko na sa 60K PMS. I see your elantra is even younger than mine by almost half a year.
BTW, here's what the coupling looked like:
Its made of hard rubber.

January 26th, 2016 09:23 PM #3089I take my car for servicing to Hyundai Sta Rosa. Look for Jinggoy, you'll instantly recognize him. No need to mention my name.
Paid around 9K for d PMS, used fully synthetic oil.
