Where and how much to have a key duplicate?

For my 2009 Honda City, P 1,600 and cost nung key dupliction sa casa. Walang remote or keyless entry yun. P 2,600 if with the remote or keyless entry. If i remember correctly, may additional pa na charge of P 500 for the key duplicate so P 2,100 inabot nung key duplicate ko. When i asked what's the extra P 500, sabi ay para "ipakilala" or "introduce" daw yung duplicate key sa kotse ko. Ano pa ba magagawa ko but to give my consent to the additional cost of P 500 as "introduction fee".

Pag may immobilizer, hindi ba hindi pwedeng basta basta ipaduplicate yun? Kaya nya i start ang engine pero after 10-15 secs (?) shutdown din 'di ba? Unless sa casa ipaduplicate or kung meron ngang nakakaduplicate din nung may immobilizer.

did they require you to give the key code? i lost my key code in the process of moving houses. just wondering.

no need, with the jazz i just brought the key (with immobilizer & keyless entry).

did a little experiment.
tinanggal ko yung keyless entry remote from the key fob.
using the key, na open ko yung doors.
pero nung try ko i-start engine, gumagana starter, pero the engine wont run. tapos may green light in a shape of a key sa instrument cluster na
nagblink.

so yung transponder nasa keyless entry remote pala, wala sa key itself.

2009 jazz 1.5v pala auto ko.

Yup... Never naman nasa key blade ang chip. Always nasa head ng key... Sa case mo... electronic chip integraded sa remote keyless.
