November 22nd, 2021 07:16 PM #1Mga sir I have a civic 2000 lxi a/t, palitan ko sana yung stock fan ng radiator at condenser ng high speed denso fan na surplus.
Ask ko lang kung may nakatry na nito? Worth it ba? Malaki ba improvement sa cooling system ng kotse?
Nagtanong ako ng price sa evangelista 1,500 each yung denso high speed fan for radiator & condenser, ipipili daw ako ng sariwa, then 500 pesos yung installation.
Need your opinions po, thank you so much in advance mga sir!

Pa check mo muna ac system mo. There are lots of shops that can check and diagnose naman. If the fan is working and the temps don't go down then maybe there is something wrong with the system.

It's not needed. The car survived 21 years, apparently without any cooling system issues. Why change it now?
Besides, "high-speed" doesn't come free... it requires a high current draw from a wiring that was probably not designed for it. You're also putting unnecessary load on the electrical system, battery, and the alternator. This translates to more engine drag and less usable horsepower, if you want to be pedantic about it.

November 22nd, 2021 09:59 PM #9is the engine overheating?
kasi,
doing a thought experiment,
it seems to me, that...
kung hindi naman nag-o-overheat,
strengthening the fan or upgrading the radiator won't amount to much,
because the thermostat will close all possibilities when it chooses to close, regardless of what the fan's and radiator's capabilities are.Last edited by dr. d; November 22nd, 2021 at 10:06 PM.

I agree with the earlier comments, if its not giving you issues, better not replace it.
