2004 Honda City Aircon Problem - No Tick Sound

Good day, I just wanted to ask the experts regarding the AC system of Honda City 2004. If there is a loss of freon, ( leak on the evaporator or from the AC lines), will that cause the AC Electromagnetic Clutch not to engage? ( No Tick Sound)?

Currently our car is in Honda casa and I'm in doubt about the diagnose, from what i know, if there is no Tick Sound, it means related to the switch / fuse going to the AC Electromagnetic clucth?

Even with freon, i believe the AC EMagnetic clucth will still engaged/ switch on

The SA is telling me that loss of freon on the AC system will cause disengaged on the AC Magnetic clutch? is this true?

Hope some experts on Honda AC system can give me some advice. Thanks in Advance

no tick sound ibig sabihin hindi gumagana ung compressor,,
pwede naman nila i bypass or ijump muna ung supply ng magnetic clutch saka paandarin kapag lumamig ibig sabihin sa linya may problema ,fuse or relay,,etc..

saka nila susukatin ung freon kung mayroon pa or wala na..
kung malakas pa si compressor or mahina na.,,,

Thanks Sir jaypee10, yun nga ang hinala ko, mukhang mali ang diagnose, so kahit walang freon sa system, at ok naman ang fuse/ wiring to the Magnetic coil, dapat may tick sound yun, di lang lalamig? pero dapat may tick sound at mag enage yun magnetic coil.

Hello po, ganun din po ang problema ng Jazz ko, pag on ko ng aicon, nawala po ang tick sound, hini na po gumagana ang aicon. But before that, subra po ang lamig na ibinubuga, tapos bigla lang pong nawala. Until now wala ng tick sound pag on ng aircon. Pero 3 times na po ako nagpa pa-add ng freon, kasi meron maliit na leak sa system, everytime po akong nagpa pa-add ng freon, aabot po ng 3 months bago nawawala lahat. But my problem is now is that, hindi na po gumagana ang aircon. Last time po pinachek ko, ok naman ang level ng freon at hindi nila ma trace kung bakit hindi nag ti-tick pa on ng airocn. ok naman ang condenser at radiator fan. at ok naman lahat ng suses at relays. Sana matulungan ninyo ako. salamat po...

the clutch coil is an electromagnet. when energized it grabs the plate so you hear the clank, and the compressor turns

Sorry for late posting, after few months ang na experienced ko pag medyo matagal na running ang car, ayaw mag tick / switch ng magnetic switch, so I went to an aircon specialist to check it.

Diagnose:

Medyo malayo na ang gap between the plat ng magnetic coil at nun sa compressor, so ginawaan na lang ng paraan, para maminimize yun gap between the plates, almost 6 months na, OK pa naman, I guess pag naulit pa ito, malamang papalitan na ng parts.

i had the same problem last week, in my non-honda.
binawasan lang ng washer yung clutch.
