Aside from the Vios 2nd gen, what other cars have blinding fog lamps?
All other OEM "fog lamps" that I see are mere glorified parklights that don't have the range nor intensity to blind oncoming traffic. I have clear tints so I see all cars' lights in their full brightness.
If you're talking legit aftermarket foglamps like those from PIAA and Hella, very few cars have them, mostly modded SUVs.

June 19th, 2016 12:36 PM #593yespo. it's those glorified bumper lights some owners refer to as foglights. whether they are OEM or aftermarket, i wouldn't know. but many of them do blind oncoming drivers. mataas na upo ko dahil innova, nasisilaw pa rin ako. papano pa yung mga sedan...
as you said, vios..., but they do not hold exclusive patent. i'm sorry, but it's not easy to determine make and model at night, when one is dazzled by the bright lights.
i wish these drivers realize that their improved night vision comes at a price... that others have to pay for.Last edited by dr. d; June 19th, 2016 at 12:38 PM.

I'd say 80% of those with foglamps are OEM foglamps (few people upgrade their base model cars to have TOTL features), and like I said, in the thousands of kilometers I drive in a month, only the Vios 2nd gen stands out as blinding.
No car manufacturer would design their foglamps to be glaring to oncoming motorists, just as they properly design their headlamps to be directed to the ground.
Foglamps almost always have lower wattages than headlamps, and are definitely situated lower in the car than headlamps. So it doesn't make sense that they're blinding while headlamps are not.
This is from someone who's driven high cars and low cars - hindi talaga nakakasilaw ang OEM fogs. Ang nakakasilaw ay yung mga nagpapalit ng PnP HID headlamps at foglamps. When I bought my Mazda 3 secondhand, it had those cheap HID kits and I took them out immediately and had a proper retrofit for the headlamps and reverted the foglamps to OEM spec. Hindi naman nakakasilaw yung OEM fogs.
Also, OEM fogs offer very little increase in visibility, because again, low wattage and low placement. If anything, it's really more aesthetic than functional. Fog lamps add a tiny bit of width to your nighttime lighting, but not something you'd notice unless you really look for it.

DO NOT GET LED FOGLAMPS. Yan yung nakakasilaw sa daan. Be considerate sa ibang motorista.

As for the subs, personally, never ako maglalagay ng stuff na walang reviews. Lalo na kung made in... you know[emoji111].
