newbie lng po ako sa car ko. first car ko ang SIR. kaso mukang di na maganda after 4 months bago ko nabili. wala naman akong alam kung pano ko aayusin. dinala ko sa hond SPA. pinakita nila yung mga dapat ayusin, from upper arm to cv joint to engine suport. lahat may tama na. gusto ko na ipa ayos lahat kaso ang mahal. pero ipapa ayos ko din siguro sa kanila kasi as much as passible gusto ko ng ALL STOCK ANG PARTS SAKA ORIGINAL. may ma susugest po ba kayo ga sir?
questions:
1. pinag kaiba ng genuine parts sa replacement parts?
(pag sa honda spa ako kumuha, genuine parts daw lahat, pag sa labas replacement daw.)
2. best break pads to buy?

1. brand and in some cases poor quality. "555" brand are good and cheap replacement. this is what i use for suspension.
2. if you have the buget, brembo IMO is the best brakes money can buy. pero kung stock lang bendix are quality brakes.
3. tein? yes! if you can spare the hefty price tag. kung hindi naman KYB would do just fine.
4. what do you mean? if stock look and parts, well just buy from honda casa
5. performance? walang tulong. satisfaction of seeing the car clean up to the engine only.
6. just buy all original if you want.

August 29th, 2010 12:54 AM #5good day po mga masters. I just recently joined this thread as i was looking for answers regarding my honda sir 98. ang problem ko is that pag nag shift na ako sa 2nd gear, parang nawawala ang driving power ng engine. ang bagal humatak at umakyat ng rpm nya. this happens until the 3rd gear pero pag naka rekta naman na sya, mabilis naman na rin ang hatak ng engine.
please help naman po for possible solutions and contacts din sana for reasonably priced repairs for my problem. thanks po in advance.

Kung hindi ka nakakasiguro sir mas mabuti pa pagawa mo lahat sa honda spa (just like me) or bili ka ng parts sa kanila tapos pakabit mo sa ibang shop para menos sa labor hehe

2. best break pads to buy? - Bendix Metal King. Same as oem brake pads or with more bite but less expensive.
3. best shocks to buy? tein? anu po? - Go for KYB if you want oem quality and specs.
6. additional na pwede ko gawin para ma retain ko ang all stock sir.
Saw your SiR at car domain (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3851875) and base from the pics, here are the things you need to do to make your car like a stock SiR.
*First, change your rims to the stock Eenkei rims of the SiR.
*Take out all your window visors.
*Paint your hood back to the factory color passion orange.
*Paint side skirts to flat black.
*Change your head unit to SiR's stock kenwood HU.
*Remove your ducktail.
*Remove the chin.
*Remove after market pedals.
*Remove foglights. (your choice)
*Install front mud guards.
For comparison, my gf's all stock 2000 Civic SiR. (pamana from her lolo)
