April 18th, 2015 01:13 PM #51Pards from my experience sa honda esi ko years back, pwede ka maglagay ng markings kung san nagmemeet ung bolt na may space for adjustment either forward o backward. Usually un ung top most na bolt. If i remember it right tatlong bolt yan sa distributor. pwede mo gamitan ng correction fluid na white or pentel pen para maibalik mo sa tamang pwesto. Madali lang gawin yan pards. Youl never go wrong naman sa pagbalik kasi yung grommet nyan going to the camshaft is male and female. Hindi mo siya maipapasok kung baliktad. Goodluck bro.

I am not also a pro nor a veteran mechanic working in an engine. Sa ganyan lang din ako natuto, sa pagsuri, may ingat sa kilos sa pag-gawa, systematic kunbaga.

April 18th, 2015 06:49 PM #58Dun mo sir lalagyan sa may bolt na may adjustment kasi yun lang ang makakaapekto sa timing mO. Kung ndi mo malalagyan ng marking, either ma retard or advance timing mo. Kaya mo lang siyaa kailangang ma markahan para hindi ka mahirapan. To save time na din lalo at diy lang ang repair mo. If ndi mo siya namarkahan u can still start the engine naman pero hindi magiging pino ang andar ng makina mo. Either sobrang baba ng magiging idle or sobrang taas.

April 18th, 2015 06:55 PM #59You can see the top most bolt dyan ka maglalagay ng marking. Draw a horizontal line brad across the mating surface ng dist and engine mismo.

The distributor drive for this car is idiot proof. It only goes in one way. To get the same exact timing after re installation, mark the distributor flange in relation to the mounting bore on the cylinder head with a scribe or you can use the witness marks to install it back exactly how it was before disassembly
