Honda Cars PH president to retire; will be succeeded by a lady | Autoindustriya

this year as Masahiko Nakamura will be completing his 3-year term as HCPI president. But that’s not all: insiders tell us that Nakamura-san is likely completing his career with Honda and retiring afterwards.
The name of the incoming president is Miss Rie Miyake.

Miyake-san is actually making a bit of history in the local auto industry because she will be the first lady president of a Japanese automobile company here.

Is Honda Cars PH launching another hybrid soon? | Autoindustriya

HCPI was given regulatory approval for a new passenger vehicle with a 1993cc engine.
With a reference weight of around 1532 kg, Honda's mystery vehicle appears to be a hefty sedan. After cross-checking the numbers and the engine size, we've come to the conclusion that HCPI could possibly launch either the Civic e:HEV or the Accord e:HEV.
best guess is that HCPI will bring the Civic e:HEV to complement the VTEC Turbo models.

The Accord had its glory days in the country in the late 90's and early 2000's (along with the Camry and the Cefiro). We have a whole generation of buyers who wouldn't be familiar with it anymore so it does make sense that Honda PH would bring in the Civic hybrid instead.
