May 9th, 2012 01:43 AM #1Hi guys, I'm having troubles with my honda city. Here are the scenarios where in the problem occurs.
1. On a full stop while stepping on the brakes, the idling goes down. Nanginginig ang makina but the engine didn't die.
2. After releasing the brakes from a full stop, the car doesn't move immediately. There's a 2 - 3 second delay before it starts moving. Sometimes I just floor the gas pedal so it will start moving.
3. Sometimes when reversing, the car won't move after shifting to R. I had to shift back to N and to R again before it starts to back up.
Can you please help me diagnose the problem with my car? It's a 2006 Model Honda City 1.5 Vtec A/T.
Your inputs will be very much appreciated.
Thanks Tsikot Family!

May 10th, 2012 01:23 PM #6*yapoy86 - I already saw that thread, it seems that the symptoms and problems there are really serious compared to what I'm experiencing. Should I think that my problem is also the CVT transmission?
*skidmarks - I haven't changed the battery yet sir. Is it safe to conclude that the cvt tranny is my problem? Can I have it repaired? I read somewhere that CVTs aren't repaired, they're replaced as a whole. Is this true?

*mondymondy-Ok,
#1-It might be kailangan e tune-up na city mo or have your aircon clean.
#2-minsan nagyayari yan pag incline yun daan, walang creep, pero dapat it takes only a second delay pag patag.
#3-Thats odd, parang pag sliding na ang clutch.
Are you the 1st owner or bought it 2nd hand? bring it to Honda & have it asses, kung hindi magbabago by some of the basic remedies like reset or changed fluid, me problem talaga cvt.
