First Gen Honda Jazz/Fit (GD) discussion

Been there done that. Nasabi ko na ito sa ibang thread. 10 years na yung GD ko ang twice na ako nagpalit ng tranny. Blame it on the way I drive. Instead of replacing the flywheel, buy the whole tranny assembly na kasi may kasama na siya flywheel. Likewise, di naman nagkakalayo ang price. I got my second tranny sa Banawe. Total expenses below.

Tranny - 13K
Labor - 4K (negotiable)
CVT Fluid - 4K (bought it myself)
Towing (Las Piñas - Banawe) 2.5K + 200 tip for the driver and helper.

Be prepared coz anytime pwede bumigay yang tranny nyo dahil same symptoms mga naramdaman ko before. Walang mechanic ang makakapagsabi kung may tama na talaga dahil maayos naman tatakbo (except the shuddering) tapos bigla bigla na lang hindi kakagat transmission mo at ihihinto ka sa gitna (worse experience). Nung una akala ko kulang lang sa CVT kaya I bought 6 liters to replenish the system, unfortunately, hindi din nagwork and nasayang lang 4K ko.

thanks for the info sir buti na lang at manual lang ang gd ko at kahapon i just have it replaced with clutch master kasi ayaw na talaga bumalik clutch pedal kahit na few weeks ago bleed sya.
yung sa friend ko ganyan din nangyayari sa GD nya na matic... how long has it been replaced at saan po sa banawe nyo pinagawa?

oh my.. patay na ako, kasama ba sa symptoms yung whirring sound sa engine doon sa may right side?

Whirring sound? Baka sa mga bearings lang un ng alternator or compressor mo. Nag pa engine wash ka ba or nabaha ung auto mo hanggang tuhod? If so, may possibility na dun lang ang problema and mawawala din ng kusa.

*b16sir_stock b16sir_stock: i don't remember the name of the store pero tanda ko ung place. Dami naman mahahanapan ng piyesa kaso mahirap maghanap ng mapagkakatiwalaan na seller/supplier.

oks sir need lang kung saan kayo nakabili kasi in terms of mechanic meron kami kilala in las pinas (though malayo sa akin in from north) that is good in replacing tranny via surplus.. yung kasi ginawa nya recently na vios sa kaibigan ko naghanap pa sila ng tranny sa banawe...

anyways... yung ba sw adaptor ng ek same lang sa gd?

Mas practical kung dun mo na din ipapakabit sa talyer na recommended nung nagbebenta ng surplus tranny kc pag take home mo ung assembly, 1 week warranty lang ang ibibigay nila sayo considering na hindi nila kilala ung siraniko mo. Pag doon ginawa, 3 months ang maximum. Hassle din dahil pag hindi gumana ung tranny pagkabit nyo, ibabalik nyo pa sa Banawe para papalitan eh kung nandun na ung auto mo at gagawa, mas mapapadali. +1 dun sa talyer na pinagkabitan ng tranny ko dahil nakikipag talo siya dun sa tranny supplier, gusto nya makasiguro na in perfect condition ung ikakabit nila at hindi masisira ung reputation nila sa mga client. FYI, meron din warranty ung shop na nagkabit so I highly recommend them sa mga tsikoters. Unfortunately, i dont know the shop's name too but I still remember how to go there.

How long ginawa yung tranny mo sir? i remember you from the other thread. kaw din yung nagpa ayos kay mel casaba pero nasira rin. from the last change that you had ilang months na yung tranny mo ngayon?

good day everyone. Has anyone experienced water leaks soaking on both the front and back driver side. this normally happen during heavy/continuous rain and occasionally during car washes? carpets get soaked with water. Other than this concern, i am generally satisfied owning this car, '06 jazz a/t. very economical, fun and reliable to operate.
