AFAIK, the old type (black txt w/ yellow background) and Rizal plates doesn't distinguish a PUV plate if its a rental or not. Yung Rizal-type PUV plates is mga bagong franchise yun while the others, kahit bagong taxi or bus, same franchise pa din sila kaya lumang type of plates. Saka alam ko tina-transfer din yung ibang franchise. This what I know lang.

January 27th, 2007 10:58 PM #13I find it pure b---s--t as why civics couldnt be used as taxis...
hell in other countries we can see toyota coronas or evern mercs being used as taxis...
i guess it just shows that how filipinos are easily persuaded by such marketing craps...we are being blinded by a pseudo prestige feeling when driving a honda, no offense to honda fan/rice boys but a honda no matter what kinda honda it is ; accord or civic in this manner is just a regular japanese sedan
after buying it they shouldnt dictate us on what we want or could do to the vehicle...hell you can even convert it to a hearse if you like and they couldnt do **** about it after all its your car you bought it with your hard earned money so be it...do what you please
the contract itself is a joke....service and warranty could be void if used as a puv ...plain b.s...t it is the consumer who has the power.
buy and be dictated to do with your property?Last edited by Sheep; January 27th, 2007 at 11:01 PM.

just my opinion..peace..

The agreement you sign with Honda that you cannot use the vehicle you purchased from them as a taxi is NON-BINDING. Kahit sinong law student alam yan. It's plainly a marketing ploy, to showcase their supposed "prestigious" stature.
Kaya ayaw ng mga taxi operator yung Civic kasi masyadong mahal ang maintenance compared to Corollas or Sentras. I was a Credit Invesitgator before, at ang dami ko nang na-interview na taxi operator. Yun ang lagi nilang sinasabi. Pure & simple.

Question, is Honda afraid to let the people know of their build quality?
I have seen honda's being bumped by bikes and the honda's bumper falls of very quickly. And I have noticed that their doors misalign very quickly.
Is this the reason why honda doesn't want to let the people us it as a taxi?
No offense meant to Honda owners, I love honda's and infact the EK9 is my dream car.
