Kung EK SiR, go for it (lalo na kung stock, no mods). Kung yung mga VTi or LXi models, naah just go for the newer FD unless it is priced below 200k. If getting an AT tranny, check for sliding as late 90s model Hondas with AT tranny have the tendency for sliding if it was not properly cared for. At 120k to 180k, you may just consider a late model 6th gen Accord (2001-2002). The Accord has a more powerful engine, a more robust suspension, and a more comfortable ride without compensating handling and performance. Maintenance is not much a problem with a 6th gen Accord unless you have a broken engine or tranny.
For the FD, the most common complaint is the stock engine mounts which tend to last only around 40k-50k kilometers. The R18 engine, like the smaller L15 (City, Jazz) and bigger K24 (Accord, CRV) can take in various oil viscosity - from mineral 10w30 to semi-synth 5w40 to fully synthetic 0w20/5w30/5w40.
