hmmm.. baka naman ganito yung gamit na pickup

    "...6-cylinder 24-valve 5.9-liter (diesel) engine"

"... produces more than 700 horsepower and more than 1200 lb-ft of torque."

    Hmmm... first of all:

No stock Nissan diesel sold here can get 1/4 mile times like that.

A stock SiR gets mid-15 quarter mile times as average... with a good driver, high 14's.

RE: ghosthunter: Wish I had your feet... If I could get my 2.0 down the 400m under 16, I'd be very happy. ...hey, waitaminute! Turbo ka dati, diba!? Sneaky sneaky...

This race would possibly go to the Nissan pickup... if:

If the SiR driver didn't know what he was doing. If he didn't slip the clutch or launch right in first gear, he'd be dog slow off the line.

If the Pathfinder/Frontier pictured had a modified RD28 engine with twin turbos... and even then, I don't expect it to get much more than 200hp (could be wrong).

    ----

It would definitely beat a poorly driven SIR from stoplight to stoplight, but past second gear? No chance. A 16.7 quarter mile indicates mid to high-8 second 0-100 km/h times... just right for a 200hp diesel on an old, presumably light, truck.

Most mid-8 cars can cream the SIR from 0-30 km/h... but from there to 100 km/h (as long as the SIR driver ain't stupid), it's sayonara suckers...

for the most part, di naman ako dadaan at makikipag karera. usually im just driving fast minding my own business but then yung iba ayaw magpa overtake lalo kung medyo me "porma" yung car (minsan yung driver lang may porma hehe).. so ayun i end up chasing after them..
Well... you would also have to qualify what "singitan" means.

If that means not using signal lamps, swerving across lanes and whatnot - then I'd rather "lose" in that so-called "race". I've seen vehicles (pickups, sedans, buses, etc.) in some very close calls in the highway.

i use my signal lamps. but yes i use all 4 lanes and squeeze through traffic if I have to, especially if there are lots of road hogs blocking the passing lanes.
