    I’m using carplay and android auto and both are working well. Though android auto is my preferred interface for supporting google maps and waze. Anybody tried rooting the headunit to directly install the waze? If yes, can the rooted unit be easily reverted back to factory default? Just want to maximize the Headunit’s gps capability... your thoughts pls... tia.

    Yup. Rooted mine. Got to experience the long method and the more recent and way easier “honda hack” method.

    Only put in to waze and spotify. Don’t want to overload and overwork the head unit.

    So far, so good. No issues experienced.

    Thank you mga sirs! How bout reverting back to factory default, are there specific configurations that only honda dealership can do?

    I'm not sure you can do this unless you flash the original firmware back to the head unit.

    In the US they have software updates once in a while for theirs infotainment systems. Don't know if we can do the same here on our side.

    It's best not to tinker with anything drastic like flashing it. Leave it as is.
