It depends, anong mods na ginawa sa oto mo? Sariwa pa ba yung vti? Straight swap or may dagdag? If you can give us mods on your car and the condition of the 96.

As is, dagdag ka talaga pero no more than 30k and kalas sounds Para lipat na lang sa vti. Try to get it straight swap kung papayag siya. 1 year difference lang ng oto.
Kung sariwa yung vti, go for it. Ingat lang sa tranny ng a/t. Test drive muna.

rather than adding cash sa swap sir, is it a better idea to use the cash to be added para itune up nalang yung manual na esi?
or mas okay pa din talaga yung vti sa esi?

In my opinion, tune the car. Manual car have less things to worry about. It really depends on what you want in a car. Mas type ko esi kesa pre-SiR body.

If you favor a/t then go for it.
Change atf every 40k or baka masira a/t, sa manual kahit 80k tinakbo pwede pa basta pumapatol pa gears and hindi sliding.Last edited by [archie]; August 5th, 2013 at 05:11 PM.

Having personally owned both cars before, I would pick the EG ESi over the EK VTi anytime. For me, the PH16 is still more responsive than the VTEC, which you need to rev all the way to wake it up.
At mas matipid yung manual trans in terms of fuel consumption and maintenance.
