July 7th, 2018 02:28 PM #3281Maybe not. Ive seen the warehouse where they re-pack the drums and drums of unioil lubes into bottles labeled as genuine motor oil for Honda, Nissan, Mitsu, and yes also some idemitsu labels. They have also a lab for mixing additives and oil analysis so i assume its unioil producing it locally under license agreement.

Yes that's what I said. Unioil is the local partner of Idemitsu and they have a bottling plant so they're licensed by Idemitsu to make their oils.
It's similar to toll manufacturing. But what they're selling are licensed Idemitsu oils so its Idemitsu's recipe cooked locally.
Car manufacturers have regional approvals for their OEM partners. It's why only Shell, Caltex, Total, Castrol, and Idemitsu are used as OEM oils. Whenever we make a pitch to a car company to carry our oils, it has to be certified regionally. It's why you never see any car company with Petron as their OEM lubes supplier, even if Petron is the biggest petroleum company in the Philippines. Much less Unioil.

My Type C-to-HDMI cable has arrived! It works perfectly with the CRV!
