Here’s another heads-up on the CRV dtec.
Dont expect it to drive like a car, its diesel engine & 9s transmiission is 80 kg heavier than a gas model. Added weight is all under the hood, like adding 2 sacks of rice (40 kilos each) to the front. Apparently, honda firmed up the coils of the mcpherson susp.(in place of a suspension arm of suvs), and one can feel the appropriateness. Its feels something like a large suv to drive, compacted in body and improved in steering, braking, driver visibility coz of the level , and with a more comfortable interior ang easy ingress & egress into the cabin. The compacted suv feel makes the crv quicker, faster and less diesel guggle.
Thirdly, the tradtion of installing the best engines transmissions, cvts, etc. (as per quality testing) during assembly , with the high grade marks, all goes to the higher variants. The average marks and below
of the same components goes to the lower variants . Sounds reasonably logical huh? , from the manufacturer’s and dealers’ points of view.
Now, if we buy a lower variant due to our nature of capacity, do make sure you dont get a sub-standard unit, or much worst a lemon unit. Hehe

There are many ways to avoid the dreadful lemon unit. We can do a new thread on it.
I'm one of the lucky first ones to have the new crv S diesel bro. I got it last October 18 pa and I'm enjoying every bit of it, so farJust sharing also my not so nice experience at that dealership

Fuel consumption vs features hanging in perfrct balance in my mind right now.
Will know after coffee ☕️ tomorrow early, but if can’t sleep tonight and get blurry, then i’ll toss a coin right there in the showroom. 👍
The gas variant is also fuel efficient compared to the other gas-powered CUVs in the market. You will get to enjoy also its features like those in the S variant compared to the V.

I agree imensely on your decision for the gas model, esp. for it to be owner driven, including wife. However, im still hovering between gas consumption vs feautures including driving comfort. The darn excise tax coming in fuel is really something vs the chance on an unforseen lemon on the V.
Will take the final look today, let my prayers decide on the outcome. Thanks a lot.

Yes it is small. If wala sa checklist nila yung paint chip or dent, then liable sila to repair. Convenient kasi BGC. I work in makati and reside in pasig-cainta area.

Kung ano maunang unit for me between crv and xv.

This is to ease your worries sa push button gears.

For the safety features alone (more airbags) the difference is worth it especially if the crv will be carrying your love ones.
But if your single, the V variant is good enough and spend the difference on papogi upgrades.
