Pwede ba hulihin ang isang vehicle na mag right turn on red signal kahit wala namang sign na "no right turn on red signal?"
Let's say you made a right turn with caution. Then suddenly may nakaabang na MAPSA, police or MMDA tapos hinuli ka.
I don't think there is any written ordinance na pwede nila i-apprehend yung driver. Correct me if I'm wrong. I also don't think na violation yun.
I have been pulled over several times. To site some of them.... one was in Ayala cor Edsa when making a right turn going towards the south. Another was in Herrera St. in Makati making a right turn to Dela Rosa St.

May 1st, 2008 11:38 AM #4usually mariming ganyan sa makati. kaya ingat na lang. ilang beses na rin ako nahuli niyan. kaya medyo praning na rin ako. i don't turn right not unless green na ang traffic light.
when you get apprehended for such violation. ask them to show you where the "no right turn on red signal" sign is. if there isn't one, then you may contest it.

May 1st, 2008 11:45 AM #5as ong as walang sign na no right turn on red,eh hindi ka dapat hulihin, sana hinanapan mo sila ng traffic order kung kasama ba dun ang no right turn on red sa espisipikong lugar na iyon, palagay ko ang napasukan mo ay "no rite tong on red"kaya nahuli ka.

there should be a sign that prohibits right turn when the signal is red....sad to say enforcers use this as a means to apprehend motorists...what I do is I don't take chances when I need to make a right turn I just wait for the signal to turn green...never mind the delay than ending up with a useless debate with an enforcer...like what blacksun posted you may contest this but then again you should make yourself free to appear and attend the hearing to contest the violation.

If there is indeed a sign, I would take out the camera and snap a few shots of how visible it really is, if it's an official sign, if it's covered by trees, posts, etc, and forward it to whoever you're going to complain to.
If there's no sign that says you can't make a right turn on red, then you've just been pulled over for no reason.

It works for me.

It's just sad kasi wala talagang standard at maayos na systema ang bansang to. We always have to keep on second guessing kung bawal o hindi. Walang malinaw na kasulatan. Sana one day everything will be in black and white and standard para hindi iba iba ang sinusundan nating motorists.
I forgot to mention nga pala nung nahuli ako dun sa edsa, yung sinundan kong Ford Expedition hindi hinuli. Siguro natakot kasi baka bigtime yung huhulihin nila. Kainis talaga.

Pwede kang mag right turn pag walang signage.
