No, not really. Baguio is just 250 km away. In 4 hours his average is just a little above 60 kph, which is the normal average speed for expressway driving, including all tollway stops.
Kennon is much faster to traverse downhill than uphill. Also, at 5:30 in the morning you're unlikely to encounter much traffic.
Gone are the days when you had to endure hours of McArthur traffic to get to Baguio.

BTT: I think the most feasible solution is to have ambulant tellers in the gasoline stations along NLEX.
Most people have at least 1 stopover, so while they're lounging off, they could also pay their toll in a kiosk in the station.
MATES in SLEX has actually approached our company regarding this idea. Hopefully it pushes through.

BCDA plans to link 3 expressways | Inquirer News
Natakot sa senate investigation, kaya kumanta agad. Anak ng teteng galit, this is no rocket science and should have been done at the start. Pero gusto ng mga operators, hawak nila agad pera at ayaw maabala sa partihan, let the motorist suffer.

December 30th, 2014 11:39 AM #16Just make sure that all EPASS sensors are working all the time. Unlike EPASS lane in Canlubang toll plaza northbound, they always use human intervention to up the boom. Mas mabilis pa yung other lanes since no cards are given to motorists. Are government and PPP projects afraid of computerization and automation? EPASS, EC tag, MRT ticketing should be hassle free and yet they are causing inconvenience to the general public. What a lame use of technology!

Make this mandatory for all vehicles passing expressways. Hindi yun may cash may electronic. Purpose is defeated pag ganyan since ipit yung mga may electronic pass sa likod ng traffic ang ending pipila pa din.
Integrate the north and south expressways.

December 30th, 2014 05:30 PM #20well, one has to expect that when faced with an exodus of that magnitude.
the americans have something similar during their own holidays..
we can do a singapore, but it might trigger a civil war.
heh heh.
but yes... there is something strange about tingi-tinging bayaran ng toll fees.. and i feel that "tamad lang silang gawan ng paraan".Last edited by dr. d; December 30th, 2014 at 05:36 PM.
