dear tsikot people... i'm not exactly proud of the incident happened last saturday night (10/15/05) while on my way home from work.
the fact is, i don't know exactly how i feel.
here is the scenario:
after a long day's work, i decided to leave office around 8 pm. while traversing the Makati Avenue towards Mandaluyong Area, i saw this MACEA clad man, riding a motorbike. at first didn't saw the man as i accelerated away from the Makati Avenue-Paseo de Roxas intersection. thought the motorcycle has stalled no lights at all. so, i decided to warn him as i approached. but then saw this rider moving after all- but slowly. so i sped past him, but noticed something, i thought i may have thrown him off-balance as i look into my rear-view mirror, its kinda dark so i'm not sure really.
something bothers me. if somehow, the cause of being thrown off-balance of that rider is my fault although, i haven't made contact with the motorcycle or the rider, can i be liable still?
remember guys, i'm not even sure if the motorcycle fell off-balance. just need some input regarding the matter.
thanks in advance.

Who knows baka holdupper pa yan.
So many drivers in the road w/out proper training or experience, ingat na lang, defensive driving na lang gawin natin.

The same thing thing happened to me somewhere in Tarlac. Talaga naman pong katitigas ng ulo ng mga tricycle drivers dyan. May designated lane na nga sila sa side ng highway, ayaw pang tumabi. Here I am fast approaching from behind cruising at about 100kph, kita ko na sya from a kilometer away. I started honking my horn from within 50mtrs as I started reducing speed dahil may makakasalubong ako. Aba at ang loko talagang ayaw tumabi, hanggang I have no choice but to slow down to his speed, trailing him as the opposite vehicle passed. Pag tapat ko sa kanya, bigla kong binusinahan ng todo, walang tigil, nataranta yata, biglang kabig nya sa designated lane, muntik pang mahulog sa kanal.
In your case, baka naman lasing yung tao. Well it's natural to feel a little guilt. Ganun din kasi ko after that tricycle incident, punong-puno pa naman sya ng pasahero.

Ian_rex,
i THINK liable pa rin ang driver-regardless kung kasalanan mo or hindi, ganyan naman dito. All I can say is, with what we are experiencing now in the Phils-takot kidnap, takot holdup, takot carnap, just feel lucky that walang nangyari sa iyo. Importante is you got home safe. Lesson na rin next time-careful tayo lahat. Ingats tayo palagi.
