Insular Insurance Scam?

What's with this insurance firm? They called me yesteraday and they told me that I have a unclaimed life insruance worth 100,000? They told me that kamaganak ko yung sponsor but they couldnt tell me the name because its confidential.. what the heck, kamaganak ko yun at gusto ko sya pasalamat kaya gusto ko malaman ang name... sabi nung insurance rep na t*nga condfi daw talaga at di pwede sabihin... well sige pinabayaan ko na..

Then medyo sige pinalagpas ko yun.. then here's what I think messed him up.. he told me to bring a credit card because it's a requiorement!! Maski walang ID. It doesn't make any sense! Magki-claim ka ng insurance kuno mo pero credit card lang ang requirement? Pwede ba yun?

I told him na I feel that that is a scam (like Family First) and kailangan ko bumili ng insurance bago ko makuha yung insurance kuno na yun.

Tingin nyo scam? or not?

They're most likely going to sell you insurance when you go there.

Hay... kakaiba talga ang tactics ng ibang company just to generate sales. Credit card pa pinadala sa iyo.

Ibig sabihin lang nila ay may P100,000 worth of insurance policy (good of one-year siguro, death) kapag bumili ka ng product nilang iba...

Scam. Just shows you how some insurance and/or pre-need companies resort to dirty and unethical tactics just to generate sales.

Ang nakakatawaa nga mga SIR ang dating nung pagtawag nila sa phone eh, "Sir tagal na namin kayo kinokontak, you have 100,000 pesos unclaimed worth of life insurance.. kailangan nyo makuha na ito tomorrow before it expired and you have to just bring a credit card lang before claiming this"..

Pakiramdam ko agad ay pangloloko talaga to.. sabi ko sige, pupunta ako sa Insular Bldg sa Makati kasi dun yung bldg din ng office ko.. (kunwari pero nasa Mandaluyong ako).

Aba biglang ang sabi ay "hindi sir, dito po sa Rufino Bldg nyo kunin sa office ng contractor ng Insular"..

I hanged up the phone after that..

may mga agents na tumawag sakin from prudential naman, siguro 10 times na, may unclaimed FREE insurance daw ako sa kanila, i asked kung paano ako nagkaroon ng record duon , sabi nila may nagrefer daw, i asked kung sino, wala silang sinabi dapat daw matuwa ako kasi nairefer ako at may FREE insurance pa ako... sabi ko wag na nila ako tawagan coz hindi ako interested, pero almost every month may new agent na tumatawg sakin, sabi ko alisin na nila name ko sa record pero paulit ulit pa din... siguro mga 3 months na walang tumatawag sakin.

ewan ko ba, kung ano anong taktika ginagawa nila para makakuha lang ng leads.
