Hi guys, i need some help in tracking a Starex van with the plate number of WFE 928.

Last August 28 my wife and I were in a car accident. While crossing the intersection in Vito Cruz Ext. corner Zapote in Makati, a starex van came out of nowhere and hit the driver side of my car. The worst thing about the accident is that it was a hit and run. Luckily I still managed to get the plate number of the Starex Van. I have filed a police report already and the police was able to trace the registered owner of the van but we are not yet sure if he is still the actual owner of the van. We will know that by Monday. So if anyone here who knows the where about of the van, please let me know. You're help is very much appreciated.

Here's what happened to my car:

To show you how strong the impact was. Our original direction was the direction where the cars on the pic below are coming from, so my car turned for about 90 degrees because of the impact.

Were you hurt? Any neck pains? Make sure you treat these first, it will get back at you in the long run if you shrug off the pain as ngalay.

That's quite a bit of damage, it looks like it was going 40-50kph. Looks like the car had side impact beams, which is good to have in an accident like this. Can the doors still be opened?

you should've also gone to a gov't hospital para ma-document any injuries for medicolegal purposes, kahit hindi apparent ang injuries, para when you file your case, pati physical injuries kasama sa kaso.

we'll also watch out for that starex van.

hi ejay, kaibigan ko si tey. buti na lang both of you are okay.

i think this needs a deeper investigation. for one, why would the shop owner allow a mechanic whom they don't really know (they don't even know the last name) to test drive a vehicle? paano na lang kung itakbo niya yun?

i tend to believe that this "mechanic" is just imaginary. probably the shop owner or someone he/she knows was driving the vehicle. para na lang hindi masampahan ng kaso, they "invented" this person.

still file a case. what if you and the wifey got seriously hurt? or worse someone died? tapos ganun na lang simply because "this person" went into hiding and they have no way of tracing him.

btw, i would suggest you go to another shop for your repairs and still have them pay for it. kasi, would you trust a shop this irresponsible with your car repairs?

I think the reason given is only an alibi to escape responsibility by the real driver that night.....

    WBR,
Agree here..... I am of the opinion that the real driver does not want to face the responsibility of accepting his fault (he ran away that night). It's just so that he was traced and cornered, so he is now asking a friend or a shopowner to be the cushion here since the repair will be done there.....

However, if you're comfortable with it, so be it.

But just to be sure, look at the owner's eyes and see how sincere he is....

it's good to know na medyo maganda ang nangyari sa case nyo.

buti inako rin ng shop owner ang responsibility.
kaya lang trustworthy ba naman sila given na nangyari yun?
baka i-test drive din ang car nyo ng alanganin oras?

if kampante ka sa kanila na di ka lolokohin, ok lang. otherwise you may opt to have your car done sa gusto mong shop to their expense. kaw naman naargabyado eh.

continue the case din if you have time para atleast malaman mo nga if totoo sinasabi ng shop owner about dun sa "ghost mechanic".

    good luck uli!
