    pre-covid,
our local morning flight from naia was delayed.
it would appear, it was delayed because it arrived late, from its initial flight from palawan...
so i wonder, bakit na-delay from palawan?
Airplanes travel non-stop except for maintenance. Crew lang nagpapalit hehe. Malamang nga delayed na agad yung mas naunang flights. Connected lahat yan. hehe

Saka kung totoo yun mga nababasa ko na Super delay like days they should billited the passengers in hotels. Huwag nila gawin engot na hinde makaalis ng airport dahil hinde pa I cancel na lang all together yun flights delay-delay hibde mo alam kung makakasaky or hinde.

They basically leaving passengers hanging, uuwi ba or mag antay sa airport.

    yes, i get that.
but what caused it to get delayed?

    i mean,
it's getting to be a vicious cycle...

they probably computed that the fuel savings more than made up for the cost of downtime and maintenance.
what they may not have foreseen, was the possibility of parts non-availability.

i have a suggestion for the so-called bump-offs due to over-booking in budget flights.

"book only the exact number of seats, at the usual 'cheaper' rates. if you cancel, there won't be no refunds or re-schedulings. plus, airline can then accomodate chance passengers."
    extra income for the airline.

    we once had opportunity.
the flight from SG advertised at the check-in queue, for several volunteers who would give up their seats. in return, the volunteers would get into a similar flight several hours later, a free lunch at the airport, plus free round trip ticket in the future.
nag-tinginan ang ilan samin, and we all ended up taking the offer.

    precisely.
so why are the responsible folks seemingly helpless against it?

cheap fares means cheap service. pero ang expectations nila mala business class na service ang gusto nila

anyways besides cpac's horror stories, they should have booked a much better airline or an expensive fare for their kind of service they are looking for...

BTW i've never been into cpac. last time i flew with PAL to NZ last 2019. it's an econo class flight for me their service was okay.
