November 3rd, 2010 10:15 PM #1newbie here. i have been a lurker for quite some time already but just registered because i need your help on a specific topic. i have searched already for a thread on how to properly break in a brand new car but the latest thread that is showing in my search result is 2008. there was a 2010 result but for a specific car brand/make so i guess the opinions and/or suggestions will not be applicable to my query.
i need the know how in breaking in my brand new ride. i have bought a brand new ford fiesta 5dr 1.6 powershift trend (automatic). all i know about break ins is that the speed must not exceed 100km/h. this should be done to brand new cars in the 90s. how about for the rides that just came out just now? is this rule still applicable? to be honest, i dont have that much knowledge in cars so i really do need your suggestions and/or you opinions on how to go about this. please
