those guys who are familiar with japanese surplus cars, I would like to hear a review and comparison of these three cars, actually, my dad just bought an Isuzu Trooper, and he asked me what i want, i said i'll go for a 2D sports car.
the cars are the following:
90-94 Toyota Supra
2-door 4-passenger 3000cc v6 24 valve
90-94 Mitsubishi 3000GT
2-door 4-passenger 3000c v6 24-valve
90-94 Nissan Fairlady Z (300ZX)
2-door 4-passenger 3000c v6 24-valve
normally, which among them standsout the most? please help. i havent found any review sites that compares these 3 cars in particular.
alam nyo ba na directly importing these cars from japan is really cheap? including freight cost, price will range between 2000-3000 USD (thats Php112k-170k). problema nalang is yong customs at convertion.
thanks in advance.

yup... we do that! but the prob is mapa-pass na ata yun bill na additional 500thou tax sa mga 2nd hand cars coming from other countries...
anyway, kahit anong sabihin mo supra ako... diba almost the same body lang yan nun 98-02?
marami na naka 3000gt at fairlady dito eh... supra sobrang konti... yari lang sa gas... 3L yan na 6-cylinder...

I'm a Nissan boy... 300zx sa akin!
Both the ZX and the Supra can be modified A LOT... and there are some pretty good examples of track cars and drag cars on both sides...
more attention is usually paid to the Supra, because it is Toyota's ONLY super tourer... the 300ZX has to share the Nissan limelight with the Skyline, so most people are unaware of the tunability of this beast.
All three cars are turbo as is, and can be modified to make lots of power.
Consider though, that the market for 3000GT parts and upgrades is quite thin as compared to the 300ZX and the Supra, but it will be $$$ to get parts for any of them anyway.

sa mga na search ko na imported cars on the internet (which i am planning to engage in soon), supra (among them) is the most expensive. a supra sz costs about 6-7k USD. mukha atang mga supra boys kayo. ok ill take your word for it. meron lang kasi akong nakitang bargain (slightly damaged but drivable) na mitsubishi 3000GT that costs only 2500 USD kasama na shipping. tapos meron pa akong kamaganak na examiner III sa customs, matutulongan nya raw kami. pero hmmm, supra nga siguro ang the best (sabi nyo eh). meron ba dito nakadrive ng mga car na namention ko? do you think, if unmodified, may laban ba ito sa mga SiR? if yes, what was your top speed? thanks a lot people for your help.

You serious ?
Toyota Supra RZ (twin turbo)
0-60 in 4.9s
1/4 mile 13.6s
Toyota Supra SZ (naturally aspirated)
0-60 in 7s (estimate)
1/4 mile in 15s (estimate)
Honda Civic SiR
0-60 in 7.6s
1/4 mile 15.6
The SZ is not the same as the RZ Supra. And you can't just turbo it, there are a few things different from the RZ engine, so you might want to look at an RZ, which is still around $17,000+++ last I looked, meaning it would cost around 2million+++ to bring in.
And with an SZ, it won't be hard for a modified Civic to walk all over you.
Good cars that you can realistically bring in / buy and race in the 1/4 mile are the Mitsubishi Evos and the Nissan 200SX. The Evos are already 13second cars STOCK, while the 2.0 of the SX can be modified almost as easily. Evos go for between 750k to 1.5mil secondhand, while 200SXs are between 500-800k secondhand (and lefthand drive).
