August 27th, 2014 01:51 AM #1Sounds like a fun toy to have. Are those things even available here in PH? Are they even legal to drive on public roads?
I could definitely see value in taking this small electric car on short errands around town. Then using your bigger internal-combustion car for heavy lifting or long distances...
Any leads?
PS i think i've read about some local business tycoon being unable to drive his Tesla car coz he couldn't register it or something like that

What that means is instead of incurring a full 30% import duty on EVs (e.g. Nissan Leaf), there will now be none. Yes, zero percent.

Electric vehicles will now have no import taxes (for 5 years) | Visor
Import duty rates of electric vehicles, their spare parts, and their components will be temporarily cut down to zero under Executive Order No. 12 to help bolster adoption rates and lower prices. This means we will begin to see upcoming cars like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 having lower pricing, and perhaps even those like the Nissan Leaf finally reaching the point of mass-market affordability.
depende pa din yan sa Nissan PH... how low are they willing to go.
they could also maintain its 2.8M price tag

a 1.9M Nissan Leaf would be a compelling choice. Lots of city folks would buy one
The problem for those who live in condos still persists however
