December 15th, 2007 11:32 PM #1Actually I was reminded of this in one of our threads here, just thought I wanted to share this to you guys. This was actually the talk of the town in the Cali tuner scene when I was still there
.
We recently saw a new Time Attack record set in buttonwillow by the JIC Magic S15 Silvia, but before that... there was a record HELD FOR 6 Years by Japanese tuner monster (and all around bitch slapper of you) HKS, thru their Godzilla R33 GT-R. It was the fastest AWD record in the planet with a differential-crumpling 7.67 at 182 mph!! It was once believed that it will be very very difficult to break this monstrous record, and remember this time 7 sec. was made by an AWD! Hmmm... HKS Godzilla has it's glory, people then guessed that it would take another mutant dinosaur to shatter this record.
They're right! New Zealander Reese McGregor's own Godzilla R32 GT-R with a 1,600 hp punched-out SINGLE TURBO RBlaid set a four black stripes all over the HKS mark with a 7.57 at 191 mph run on Willowbank Raceway, Brisbane, Australia. Reports from krazy kiwis say that Reece's GT-R has much more left in it.

Reece McGregor's own Godzilla GT-R R32 and currently the fastest AWD in the world
*To further fuel the international controversy, UK super tuner , Sumo Power, has been preparing Project Fuujin (Japan talk for "the wind of God") R33 for an assault on the record. With a projected weight of 1900 lb and 1200 hp the Sumo Power GT-R stands a good chance of taking the N.Z R32 GT-R off the top spot. All of this recent record rumbling may wake the sleeping giant yet, as rumors abound that HKS may bring its fearsome R33 GT-R back into action.

(Pssst... put it in quotation marks... TCash rules)
Nice accomplishment... Wonder how much further down they can go? Is this the world record for stock-bodied AWD, or does it include tube-frame draggers?
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

sorry OT muna!:
hey Jun, nowadays all the fastest DSM's & Evo's around the country (U.S.A.) are being built & tuned by: AMS, Magnuss Motorsports, Buschur Racing, Sheperd Racing, WORKS, and a few others.
most of these tuners have more than 10-15 yrs experience on everything Mitsubishi. and they also fabricate/produce their own parts strictly for race & street purposes.
anywayz, although they use other brands of parts, they still use other HKS parts as well. and nowadays, there arent any HKS tuned DSM's for Drag Racing (just yet..) coz nowadays HKS is more concentrated on Drifting, Circuit racing & Time Attack!
aite, peace.
