April 7th, 2003 02:37 PM #1Hey guys,
I'm sure a lot of you have gone to the TRANSHOW already in SM Megamall. Daming typical show cars, all nice but nothing really new, aside from the new car model launches there like the USDM Evo 8, and of particular interest, the WESTFIELD MEGABLADE. :D
Its a true-blue British deisgned (but locally built) British sportscar, perfect for the track.0-100 in 3.4 seconds, top speed of 140 mph, the quarter in the mid 12's, high 10's with suspension and tire tuning, lateral acceleration in the neighborhood of 1g, 4-pot brakes, LSD, 6-speed full-sequential gearbox, 25 liter fuel-cell, full adjustable suspension (coilovers and adjustable swaybars), the list goes on.
Its faster than any Porsche or Ferrari on give or take bumpy B-roads and on the open road accelerates harder than the two until it runs out of gearing. On the track it is unstopable!
Its powered by a HONDA Fireblade engine, 1100cc with a 12k RPM redline. Talk about excitement! They also have on offer the WESTFIELD MEGABUSA powered by the Suzuki GSXR1300 Hayabusa bike engine, which is even faster! ;)
Asking price is 1.3M, pwede na for this level of performance. AND its fully-road legal!
In a few months, they will roll out the WESTFIELD XTR2 which looks like a mini Le Mans prototype sportscar. Even this is fully-road legal. This will cost about 1.5-1.6M.
Check out www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk to get an idea of how these things look like / perform. ;)
The price for so much performance has never ben this realistically affordable. :D

April 8th, 2003 11:22 AM #9Not sure about the Top Gear test, pero ang direct competitor ng Westfield XTR2 is yung Radical SR3 which was judged slightly better by EVO Magazine.
However, both these cars are faster in a circuit than fully track-prepared BMW M3's and Porsche 911 GT3RS'. All for a fraction of the price.AND fully road leagl too.
Riceboys beware, mas malaki pa mga wings nila sa mga oto niyo, fully functional pa! ;)
